About the role
Applications are invited to join the Anatomy team at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. The individual will be joining an award-winning team that teach 3,000 students a year and deliver outstanding anatomical education to a range of programmes including, allied-heath, medicine and higher surgical training.
Applicants should have experience in the teaching of Anatomy. The successful applicant will be student focused and required to contribute to any area of teaching including the delivery of lectures, leading or assisting with practical dissecting room sessions, leading or assisting with ultrasound sessions, and in the setting and marking of assessment.
In addition, they will be required to teach on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses with a requirement to participate in generation of student course material including the production of prosections.
About you
Ideally, you will have a postgraduate qualification in human anatomical science with hands-on experience in full-body human dissection. You will use strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to engage students to deliver high-quality anatomical education to diverse audiences through varied teaching methods.
Experience in undergraduate teaching is essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. You should be innovative, with strong problem-solving, organisational, and administrative skills, capable of prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
You should have experience working under the Human Tissue Authority or other relevant body concerning health and safety regulations around the use of human donors in anatomy education.
