Assistant Project Manager (Pre-construction)
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic Housing team! If you have a knack for project management and a desire to make a difference in your community, this could be the perfect role for you.
About the Role: As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the delivery of the Stock Investment Programme within the Housing department. You will collaborate with various stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful project execution, from pre-construction to completion. Your contributions will help enhance the quality of housing in our community!
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior Project Manager in managing capital projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Collect, collate, and maintain project information to support effective decision-making.
  • Communicate with technical, design, and legal consultants to facilitate project progress.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditure, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by effectively handling complaints and resolving issues.
What We're Looking For: To thrive in this role, you should possess:
  • A Project Management Qualification (e.g., PRINCE 2/ APM) is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and address service issues.
  • Excellent communication abilities to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • A proactive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration with various departments.

Essential Skills:
  • organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, fostering strong working relationships.
  • Experience in construction management or housing projects is a plus.
