Working closely with qualified clinical psychologists and a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to assessments, interventions, audit, and service development, helping to shape and improve care for young people across Somerset.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

Deliver psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions under clinical supervision.
Support the planning and implementation of care tailored to individual needs.
Assist in clinical audits, service evaluation projects, and the development of therapeutic resources.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with trust policy.
Liaise with young people, families, schools, social care, and external partners to ensure cohesive care.
Participate in clinical governance, supervision, and team meetings.
Contribute to staff training and multi-agency liaison where appropriate.

Clinical Responsibilities:
Undertake clinical screenings and psychometric assessments.
Provide individual therapy and support using CBT and other psychological frameworks.
Work collaboratively with the team on case formulation and care planning.
Use data to evaluate intervention outcomes and support clinical decision-making.
Service Development & Research:
Design and conduct service evaluations and audits.
Present findings in written reports and presentations.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery.
Team & Communication:
Engage in regular multidisciplinary meetings and external agency coordination.
Communicate sensitively and effectively with children, families, and professionals.
