About the Role:



We are seeking an Assistant Publisher to oversee the maintenance and development of a portfolio of journals in the Social Sciences. This role involves aligning journal performance with company and departmental goals, collaborating closely with external scientific editors and editorial board members, and cultivating strong relationships across the publishing ecosystem.



How you will make an impact:



Continuously and proactive ly evaluate the performance of the journal portfolio as it relates to Wiley and department objectives Build and maintain a network of editors and board members, conduct regular engagements , set performance goals, and oversee day-to-day performance. Collaborate with editors to achieve targets for submissions, acceptances, and published articles. Negotiate editor contracts and support editor transitions. Participate in editor interviews and recommend appointments. Work cross-functionally to support external reporting, publishing services, society partner contract renewals, and business growth. Provide research and project support, including data analysis and presentation development for renewals and business expansion. Maintain organized records and report activities to your manager and/or Senior Director, seeking support and escalating more complex issues as and when needed.

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the United Kingdom, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
