We are looking for an Assistant QS to join our team at Liverpool University.
This role specifically requires attention to detail in verifying that charged rates match the contractually agreed schedule and identifying patterns in reactive maintenance that could lead to cost efficiencies.
Processing reactive maintenance work orders against established schedule of rates
Verifying that invoiced works match the agreed schedule of rates prices
Auditing contractor applications to ensure compliance with contracted rates
Tracking variations from standard rates and obtaining proper authorisation
Maintaining and updating the schedule of rates database as rates change
Reconciling discrepancies between quoted rates and actual charges
Assisting with analysis of high-frequency reactive maintenance items to identify trends
Supporting the creation of reports showing spend patterns across reactive maintenance
Helping to identify opportunities for converting recurring reactive tasks to planned maintenance
Processing emergency call-out charges and verifying they meet contractual terms
Supporting cost validation for out-of-hours reactive maintenance work
Assisting with benchmarking reactive maintenance costs against industry standards
Helping prepare periodic reviews of schedule of rates to ensure market competitiveness
Supporting negotiations for rates on non-standard reactive maintenance items
Maintaining records of contractor response times against service level agreements
Assisting with the evaluation of reactive maintenance contractor performance
Statutory PPM Monthly Remedial Cost capture.
