Assistant Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

My client is leading housebuilder with a reputation for building large-scale communities across the UK. Due to a significant increase in key projects, the company is now looking for a driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Midlands based Commercial Team to support a variety of residential developments. You'll play a key role in assisting with commercial delivery of residential development schemes.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for:

Working under the Senior Quantity surveyor, providing regular reports and updates Assisting with the preparation of cost plans, budgets, and valuations Supporting the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers Monitoring and controlling project costs Assisting with the preparation of final accounts

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Requirements

Ideally HNC qualified in surveying or construction or equivalent Residential experience is ideal but not essential (experience in housebuilding, housing associations, or main contracting) Strong commercial awareness with a good understanding of construction methods and materials Excellent communication and networking skills Proficient with relevant software (such as COINS or similar) Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment An ambitious team player who can work independently and part of a team
