We\'re looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Kier Construction team based in Manchester. Contract: Full time, permanent

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be working within the Construction team, supporting them in managing the commercial resources of projects to maximise cashflow and margin.

Your day to day will include:

\xc2\xb7 Organising the division of projects into component work packages for procurement.

\xc2\xb7 Under the supervision of a senior team member, assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages.

\xc2\xb7 Assisting the Senior Q.S / Managing Q.S in monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)

\xc2\xb7 Carrying out site measurements of completed work to assess sub contractor applications.

\xc2\xb7 Carrying out commercial administration as required to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports.

Who are we looking for?

Working on projects ranging from \xc2\xa330m to \xc2\xa3100m, we are looking for like for like industry experience.

This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

\xc2\xb7 Relevant Construction Qualification (HND/ Degree / SVQ) or Technical Trade

\xc2\xb7 Strong IT Literacy
