Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to construction engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on time, while maintaining quality standards.

Duties



Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. Monitor project expenditures and perform cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency. Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed projects. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate project specifications and budgets. Prepare tender documents and assist in the selection of contractors. Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects. Provide regular reports on project progress and financial status to stakeholders.

Qualifications



A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential. Proven experience in quantity surveying or a similar role within the construction industry. Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Membership or eligibility for membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not mandatory.
