With a love for the great outdoors, you'll enjoy working with nature and want to inspire and motivate others. You'll help to make habitats for wildlife better and make everyone feel welcome at our places.
This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the important work we're doing. As part of the Ranger team, you'll need to think about our impact on the environment and how you can help. This is a fixed-term opportunity for 4-6 months. For this role, you'll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.
What it's like to work here:This role is based at Little Churchtown Farm, Fowey, Cornwall. The wider Ranger team includes 3 Rangers and you will report to the Lead Ranger.
What you'll be doing:You'll be a member of the ranger team helping to deliver great experiences for our visitors by working on our extensive network of footpaths. You will also work with our wide range of volunteers and support the opportunities we have to engage with our supporters, neighbours and visitors.
You'll also help us with our nature recovery work which is focusing on woodland and meadow creation. You'll be involved in practical tasks such as fencing, tree planting and seed harvesting.
A significant aspect of the role is to support our Outdoor Holidays team to run Highertown Farm Campsite by helping with maintenance, cleaning and engaging with our campers.
You'll be expected to help cover evenings and weekends by being on a rota with other staff.
