We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant General Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry, with a passion for food and exceptional leadership skills. This role involves supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service, and fostering a positive environment for both staff and customers.
Duties
Assist in managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff supervision and training.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health codes.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to enhance menu offerings and improve food production efficiency.
Implement effective team management strategies to motivate staff and improve performance.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the restaurant environment, including dining areas and kitchen facilities.
Assist in financial management tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Previous experience in food production or kitchen operations is highly desirable.
Background in serving or barista roles is an advantage.
Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
