Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional hospitality while supervising daily activities. This position requires a strong background in food preparation and safety, as well as leadership skills to help guide our kitchen and front-of-house staff towards delivering an outstanding dining experience.

Responsibilities

Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of service and food quality. Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food production to maintain efficiency and quality. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment. Train and mentor new staff members in food preparation techniques, hospitality practices, and restaurant policies. Help manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction. Collaborate with the management team to develop menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences. Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and support to foster a positive work environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential, with a focus on food preparation and production. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen operations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's operational needs.
