Duties
Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and high standards of food preparation and presentation.
Supervise and train staff, promoting teamwork and effective communication among team members.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Support the development of menus and specials, incorporating culinary creativity to enhance guest experiences.
Maintain inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Monitor staff performance, providing constructive feedback and conducting performance reviews as needed.
Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential, with supervisory experience preferred.
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations.
Proven leadership abilities with experience in team management and training.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
Familiarity with kitchen operations and food production processes is highly desirable.
Experience in barista duties or hotel management is an advantage but not mandatory.
