Overview :

We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive

Assistant Manager

to join our management team. Alongside the core responsibilities of supporting daily operations, you'll also provide

maternity cover

for

Events Coordination

, as well as assist with

Reservations and Marketing

.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their job, balancing hands-on leadership on the floor with creative and organisational work behind the scenes. You'll help to ensure smooth daily service while driving events, private hire, group bookings, and potential marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:



Support the General Manager and Assistant General Manager in the day-to-day running of the venue. Lead and motivate the front of house team to deliver exceptional service. Maintain a positive, inclusive team culture where everyone feels valued. Ensure high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and venue atmosphere. Oversee shift management, cash handling.

Computer literate,

confident using Excel, Outlook, and Word, and comfortable working with online booking, event, and marketing software systems.

Events Coordination (Maternity Cover)



Act as the main point of contact for large events, private dining and group bookings. Liaise with guests, kitchen, and the management team to ensure smooth event delivery. Manage event logistics from enquiry to execution, including bespoke event set ups, scheduling, costing and billing.

Reservations & Marketing Support



Oversee the reservations system (SevenRooms), ensuring efficient table management and excellent communication with guests. Support marketing activity including local promotions, social media content, and seasonal campaigns in line with Sophie's guidelines. Work closely with the GM and the director to maximise bookings and drive guest engagement.

About You:



Experienced in hospitality management with strong people and organisational skills. Confident communicator with excellent customer service instincts. Highly organised and able to juggle multiple priorities. Creative thinker who enjoys planning events and engaging with guests. Comfortable using booking systems and social media tools.

Ideal Candidate:

Would need to be proactive, personable, and confident in leading a team. You thrive in a lively, fast paced environment, really care about guest experiences, and would love to bring creativity, energy to every shift. Good clear understanding of the English language is required and at least 2 years experience working in either hospitality and/or event management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 18.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 - 48 per week

Work Location: In person
