We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Front of House Manager to join our team and support our Restaurant Manager. In this pivotal role, you will support the Front of House Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing the front of house team, while your knowledge of food safety and preparation will contribute to the overall success of our establishment. This role requires working most Saturdays but no evenings, Sundays or bank holidays.
Responsibilities
Assist in managing daily front of house operations, ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness.
Supervise and train front of house staff, fostering a positive team environment.
Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed.
Support the preparation and production of food items as needed, ensuring quality and presentation meet our standards.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service during busy periods.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for resolution and satisfaction.
Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing labour costs effectively.
Help with bartending duties when required, ensuring a well-stocked bar area.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
Proven leadership experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Experience in team management, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
Familiarity with food preparation and production processes.
Excellent supervisory skills, capable of guiding a diverse team effectively.
Bartending experience is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key.
A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and enhancing guest experiences.
