The Role: Assistant Revenue Accountant \xe2\x80\x93 9 Month FTC

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Revenue Accountant to join a successful Revenue team based in our London offices on a 9 month Maternity Cover FTC.

This role could suit either a recent graduate with a relevant Accountancy/Finance Degree looking to start their career within Finance or an experienced Accounts Assistant/Asst Accountant with experience of \xe2\x80\x9ccradle to grave\xe2\x80\x9d finance including Invoicing, Credit Control and Month End Reconciliations/Reporting.

We will rely on you to:

• Work with the business to raise and distribute invoices
• Take ownership of the month end revenue process for specific practice groups, estimating and confirming with the business project level revenues and completing case reviews of project time/expense charges.
• Manage the WIP balance, ensuring all work done is invoiced promptly and efficiently and in line with the requests of the business.
• Ensure revenue is fully supported and evidenced in line with controls and procedures.
• Assist with the development of the finance systems and processes, identifying opportunities to improve current processes and help resolve current issues
• Manage the aged debt and assist on all other aged debt chasing and cash collections as and where required.
• Assist the other members of the revenue team with invoicing, reconciliations and documentation collection as required.
• Assist the Revenue Team with all audit work, including preparing information for the auditors and answering subsequent queries.
• Collate and analyse balance sheet data to manipulate into a format for quarterly US reporting.
• Act as the first port of call for partner finance queries.
• Support the revenue manager with ad hoc projects.
• Support the Client Executive in client meetings, produce the minutes and manage any resulting action points
• Actively build relationships across Marsh and with external stakeholders
• Adhere to business processes, systems and procedures at all times

What you need to have:

• Accounting Degree or relevant experience of accounting and accounting processes
• Professional working approach and strong communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task/ good organisational skills.
• Office experience (not necessarily accountancy based) is preferable.
