Assistant SENDCO

Details: Permanent, Full Time, Term Time (38.6 weeks).

Start Date: August 2025

Salary: Grade 7 Points 19 - 22 (Actual Salary 30,496).

FTE 35,709 -38,544

37 hours per week, 30 minutes for lunch daily.

Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:00pm

Friday 8am to 3:30pm Plus, 3 professional learning days.

We are looking to recruit an additional Assistant SENDCO to join our hugely successful SEND faculty.

We wish to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with an ability to deal positively and sympathetically with students, staff and parents. Knowledge and experience of working with students with SEND, delivering SEND interventions and working in a school SEND faculty are essential.

You will be working in an environment where:

strong, positive relationships are a strength of the school; students of all ages and abilities readily demonstrate an eagerness to learn and make progress across the curriculum; outstanding behaviour is apparent throughout the school; students are polite, open and articulate, making it a pleasure to engage with them in lessons; SEND students are generally taught in mainstream lessons which allows them to thrive in a positive and productive learning environment; the school's progress 8 score is significantly above average at +1.0, and above average for SEND students, for two consecutive years, and is ranked in the top 5% nationally; Professional Learning is a priority and time for this is integrated into the school day; all students, teachers and parents share a common vision to "make a positive difference".
