The refugee and asylum seeker service (RASS) is one of a growing list of clinical services delivered by ABC. Due to the significant number of external partners involved with the refugee and asylum seeker service and nature of the work, this role straddles 2 parts of ABC, transformation and clinical services and the expectation is that the post holder will work closely with both.
Proposed salary
: Band 6.1 to 6.10 on the ABC pay scale which is equivalent to 35,918.88 to 42,926.38 per annum (WTE) dependent on experience
Anti-social hours supplements will be included in addition to this, dependent on hours worked.

Location:
Predominantly based in east Sussex location, close to Tunbridge Wells with the requirement to travel to ABC main offices in Horley/Crawley. Must have a full drivers license with business insurance and access to car.
Main duties of the job
This is a new role to assist the current service manager within a close and supportive team of both clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure effective service provision.Whilst the role is fast moving with activity stepped up rapidly in response to changes regarding asylum estate, the environment is calm and there is a focus on resilience and teamwork.
The role is critical to the successful delivery of the Refugee and Asylum Seeker, which operates 7 days a week 0800-20:00, covering asylum accommodation and continues to grow at pace. The service is also strengthened by the close collaboration with 30+ voluntary sector organisations who are key to the wider support needed for refugees and asylum seekers.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will:
Support the day to day coordination and operational delivery of the RASS service, helping to ensure clinics and activities run smoothly and that the team can respond appropriately in a fast-moving and sometimes unpredictable environment.
Work collaboratively with the RASS Service Manager, Lead Nurse, Clinical Lead, administrators and wider clinical services team to contribute to safe, effective delivery and a positive team culture across both RASS and ABC.
Provide operational support to clinical and administrative team members, including assisting with clinic scheduling, rota coordination, maintaining up to date SOPs and ensuring key processes are followed.
Help ensure that service activities are culturally informed, trauma aware and aligned with the needs of refugees and asylum seekers.
Support preparedness for new arrivals, ensuring stock, medical kits and practical resources are maintained, and highlighting any risks or gaps to the Service Manager.
Liaise with internal and external partners under the direction of the Service Manager, helping to promote equitable access to health and care for refugees and asylum seekers.
Work with central systems and digital teams as required, supporting the implementation of effective and innovative ways of working in line with ABCs values.
Assist in maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, including hotel teams, general practice, the Home Office, UKHSA, councils and voluntary sector partners, recognising the impact of wider determinants of health.
Support data collection, reporting and monitoring, contributing to high quality information that demonstrates performance, activity, and progress against KPIs.
Work with the Quality team, Service Manager, Lead Nurse and Clinical Lead, Communications teamto support appropriate responses to incidents, contribute to safeguarding procedures and promote a learning culture across the service.
Help member practices make effective use of RASS services, providing clear communication and timely operational support.
Support subcontracted practices/federations involved in delivering RASS activities, ensuring they have relevant information and operational guidance.
Work with system partners to assist in integrating RASS services, helping to ensure seamless patient pathways where services are co-located or jointly delivered.
Contribute to an ambitious, collaborative and resilient team environment, helping to overcome challenges and deliver an excellent, responsive service for refugees and asylum seekers living in Surrey and Sussex hotels.
