This role is crucial in managing the route's asset reliability and performance by leveraging the available intelligent infrastructure. The engineer will utilise a xe2x80x9cpredict and preventxe2x80x9d capability derived from the installed Remote Condition Monitoring (RCM) systems to ensure optimal functioning and maintenance of the signalling and telecommunications assets within CentralDay to day you can expect to be involved in the following activities:xc2xb7 Managing and directing the Technical Support team and Control Centre Technicians to achieve business and functional objectives and meet key performance measures.xc2xb7 Managing the development of individuals and the engagement of the team.xc2xb7 Managing the arrangements for staff safety and competence.xc2xb7 Monitoring asset performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency.xc2xb7 Providing technical guidance and support.xc2xb7 Undertaking survey and design work.xc2xb7 Managing the assurance and non compliance process within the delivery unit.xc2xb7 Undertaking technical inspections and investigations.xc2xb7 Providing local requirements to arrange track monitoring trains and receive outputs.xc2xb7 Maintaining the accuracy of systems, databases and records.xc2xb7 Reviewing and approving method statements and/or plans for design and/or work activities as required.xc2xb7 Undertaking an agreed programme of staff surveillance, work quality and asset condition checks.In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to have/to be:xc2xb7 Relevant technical competencexc2xb7 Knowledge of maintenance delivery processes and techniquesxc2xb7 Knowledge of safety and compliance management processesxc2xb7 Knowledge of operational railway environmentxc2xb7 Detailed knowledge of relevant standards and proceduresxc2xb7 Design knowledge and experiencexc2xb7 Failure/incident management and rectification techniquesxc2xb7 Knowledge of other functional disciplinesxc2xb7 IRSE Licence holder (Signalling only)xc2xb7 Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skillsxc2xb7 HNC/HND or equivalent qualificationIt's not mandatory to have the below, but it would be desirable to have:xc2xb7 Knowledge of coaching techniquesHow to apply (External)Salary: starting from xc2xa343,588 raising to xc2xa350,018 per annum.
