Your Role:
As an Assistant Site Engineer - Cabling, you will play an integral part in ensuring safe, sustainable, and compliant delivery of works from concept through to completion.

Our Power Transmission & Distribution team plays a key role in powering communities across the UK. We're looking for a dedicated and driven Assistant Site Engineer (Cabling) to support and deliver critical infrastructure work in Wimbledon and New Cross.
What you'll be doing
? Key Responsibilities:Understand the specified cabling solutions and support successful delivery through to completion.
Assist in setting to work, supervising on-site activities, and ensuring technical compliance.
Help ensure works are delivered safely, sustainably, and to specification.
Monitor on-site operations to ensure all works meet quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
Produce accurate and timely records and documentation as required.
Support and care for teams delivering works on site, encouraging a positive and safe working culture.
Work closely with the Project Manager and Project Director to help ensure project delivery aligns with customer and stakeholder expectations.
Contribute to identifying and implementing the most effective solutions to meet project objectives.
Who we're looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
Experience in implementing safe systems of work
Experience in managing risks and change processes
Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts
Proficient in commercial/project management communications
Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the
organisation
Good interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed at
all levels across the business and be able to negotiate and influence
Able to undertake work in high pressure situations with a flexible attitude
A record of a solutions-based approach to problem solving
Demonstrate awareness and support of the benefits of diversity and inclusion
Communicate and check understanding of daily briefings
Raise new concepts and ideas
Develop social skills
Support diversity and inclusion
Manage own personal development
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
Experience of working on a variety of project types
Proficient on O365
Holds a current driving license
The role holder is likely to have one or more of the following:
Holds or working towards a formal qualification (BSc/MSc) in
management/construction or experience equivalent
Holds CSCS and SSSTS or Equivalent
