Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated

Assistant Site Engineer

to support the delivery of luxury and complex construction projects. This role is ideal for early-career engineers who are eager to gain hands-on site experience, working closely with our senior engineers, site managers, and project teams.

Responsibilities

Support the

setting out

and surveying of works on site to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications. Assist with

quality control inspections

, ensuring works meet design and safety standards. Monitor and record site progress, preparing daily reports and liaising with the project team. Assist with coordination between subcontractors, suppliers, and trades to ensure smooth workflow. Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld at all times. Provide technical support to the site team, interpreting drawings, and reporting discrepancies or issues to senior staff. Contribute to site meetings, recording minutes and following up on action items

Requirements

Education & Experience

Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Previous placement, internship, or early experience on construction sites is an advantage.

Technical Skills

Understanding of site setting out, surveying, and construction methodologies. Familiarity with engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Total Station, or similar equipment). Strong knowledge of health & safety standards and quality control practices.
