Salary: 34,000 - 39,000 DOE plus 3,000 Car Allowance & Benefits
Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Full-time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting for an
Assistant Site Manager
to support one of our building refurbishment projects in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
You will be based at
Brunswick Gardens Retirement Village
in the Woodhouse area of Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
We are currently working on a 217-apartment site carrying out numerous M&E fire safety improvements, including fire alarm upgrades, emergency lighting, warden call systems, domestic & commercial wiring, extraction systems, and much more!
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Site Manager with a background or interest in M&E systems, particularly fire safety components like fire alarms, emergency lighting, and commercial/domestic wiring. You'll be working in a live retirement village setting, so a strong understanding of compliance, resident safety, and professionalism will be important in supporting the Site Manager's efforts.
You will assist with general building works that may involve accessing hidden services (behind walls, under floors, etc.). Experience in general building works is valuable, and some knowledge of joinery, plumbing, plastering, and finishing will help, but is not essential.
As an Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager in overseeing subcontractors, managing day-to-day site activities, and ensuring temporary works like scaffolding and fencing are properly handled. A proactive, problem-solving attitude and a focus on quality and safety are important, as you'll be learning to manage site operations effectively.
You should be willing to develop your skills and grow into a more senior role over time. A CSCS Card is essential, and any further qualifications like SMSTS and First Aid will be beneficial. If you're ready to step into a leadership role and want to learn from experienced professionals in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!
