Are you an experienced Assistant Site Manager with a passion for delivering excellence in void refurbishment projects within the social housing sector? If so, we want you to join our dynamic team at PiLON, an award-winning, multi-trade construction business dedicated to enhancing living environments for our clients.



As an Assistant Site Manager, you must have at least two years of proven experience in void refurbishment in the social housing sector. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in managing subcontractors' teams and will be instrumental in the delivery of the project, directly contributing to the organisational growth targets.

Main Objectives of the Assistant Site Manager role:




Overseeing, monitoring, and managing the progress of the void refurbishments Liaising with clients and reporting on work progress to internal and external stakeholders Supervising refurbishment works and ensuring that teams are focused, engaged and motivated Ensuring the safety of the site by making safety inspections and enforcing safety guidelines and protocols Conduct post-contractor checks, addressing any final tasks needed to meet our quality standards before handover Prepare and complete daily snagging lists, prioritising properties scheduled for handover the next day Order and manage materials inventory, including maintaining adequate stocks of essentials like electricals, white goods, and kitchen fittings Lock changes for properties received the day before, and drop paperwork in each Identify required installations, including doors, windows, dehumidifiers, shower trays, and more, while maintaining detailed records and paperwork for each property Maintain professional standards and uphold company values and customer service commitments in every interaction



Do you have what it takes?




A minimum of one year of experience in refurbishing works within the social housing sector Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Good problem-solving skills allow you to deal with complaints and challenges in a calm and professional manner Genuinely caring for people and the ability to motivate your teams Good knowledge of building methods and regulations Customer-focused mindset Good communication and writing skills



Qualifications required




Site Management Safety Training Scheme [SMSTS] or Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme [SSSTS] Asbestos Awareness Certificate First Aid at Work CSCS card Fire Marshal/ Safety Certificate
