What You'll Do



Support the Site Manager in understanding and complying with the Company's Management Systems and Policies for Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental. Assist in implementing and maintaining management system requirements throughout the duration of the contract period. Support the Site Manager in managing health and safety on site, contributing to both planning and delivery, and promoting a strong safety culture across the site team and supply chain. Assist in monitoring the construction programme and reporting progress against key milestones. Support the development and implementation of short-term and target programmes with input from the supply chain and site team. Assist with recovery, acceleration and completion programmes as required, under the direction of line management. Provide support to the Design Manager and Project Quantity Surveyor in the production of design programmes, information required schedules and procurement programmes. Attend and contribute to regular internal site meetings covering Health & Safety, Quality, Programme and Environmental performance. Assist with the delivery of site inductions and toolbox talks as required. Support the mentoring and development of new or junior members of staff. Assist the Site Manager with temporary works coordination duties (training will be provided). Support the planning and organisation of site facilities, logistics and hired plant. Assist in coordinating meetings with the supply chain to ensure programme and quality requirements are met. Attend pre-commencement meetings with the supply chain and Quantity Surveyor as required. Attend client and design team meetings and assist with the preparation of reports when requested. Support compliance with the Quality Management System and assist in closing out any findings or improvement actions. Assist in ensuring inspections and documentation are completed in line with drawings and specifications. Support the identification and prompt resolution of non-compliant work. Liaise with the Aftercare Manager to support a smooth project handover and minimise defects. Assist with compliance to the Environmental Management System and support improvement actions. Support the Business Development team by highlighting potential opportunities for publicity where appropriate. Attend training courses as requested by the SHEQ/HR Departments. Support the SHEQ/HR Departments in facilitating training and development for the site team. Assist the Supply Chain Manager by providing feedback on supply chain performance.

What We're Looking For



Skills and Experience



Good technical knowledge of construction build processes and defects. Experience supporting site delivery teams with an understanding of health and safety practices and legislation. An awareness of commercial principles including cost control and planning. Ability to interpret and communicate contract information. Experience assisting with the scheduling of materials and plant. A trade background and/or degree qualification or equivalent. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel. CSCS Card. SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely (or working towards). First Aid Certificate (desirable). Fire Marshal (desirable). Temporary Works Coordinator (desirable).
