ASSISTANT SITE MANAGER - Permanent Opportunity

DIVISION: BUILDING

LOCATION: MERSEYSIDE

We are searching for an Assistant Site Manager who will support both the Site team, Directors, Contracts Managers and Project Managers in co-ordinating site activities, management of sub-contractors, and continually monitor and update on site progress to the management team.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining best practices and procedures across the business, ensuring they are fit for purpose as the business grows. The candidate will hold excellent communication skills, have the ability to work as part of a team and have confidence to have a positive impact on the Company.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Assistant Site Manager will support the team on the facades packages on a large Residential development.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar position with a main contractor, specific Building Envelope/Facades experience is vital.

A full driving licence is essential.

Typical duties will include:

  • Undertaking the management of site staff.
  • Assisting in the scheduling of materials for ordering from the procurement department.
  • Planning the work and efficiently organising site operations in order to meet the agreed programme.
  • Assisting to develop construction programme.
  • Monitoring Programme.
  • Ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
  • Supervising the site labour and the works of subcontractors.
  • Ensuring quality records necessary to meet PQP are collated and maintained.
  • Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
  • Liaising with other function/departmental managers.
  • Introducing improvements and innovation where appropriate.
