We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager to join our construction team delivering new projects that are due on site in the first quarter of 2024. There are a number of schemes already on site ranging from \xc2\xa35m to \xc2\xa345m along with a strong pipeline, which is underpinned by our exceptional construction team. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop and learn by assisting our exceptional site management team with safety, quality, cost control and ultimately delivering the programme on time and to the client\xe2\x80\x99s expectations.

About you

Aligned to our ethos and values, you will be passionate about construction and have a desire to develop and learn. Ideally, you\'ll have prior experience in construction along with a relevant industry certification. Confidence and strong communication skills are essential as you\'ll regularly interact with both internal/external clients and subcontractors. It is essential that you enjoy working as part of a successful team as you will be delivering prestigious schemes to our clients.

Duties will include.

  • Ensure that highest possible safety standards are maintained at all times and that the appropriate safety culture is developed on site with site team and sub-contractors.
  • Assist in the management of the site team \xe2\x80\x93 supervise and develop site staff and ensure competency of individuals to carry out delegated duties.
  • Assist in the management and co-ordination of site activities.
  • Monitor key stage programmes.
  • Provide progress reports for internal and external reporting functions.
  • Ensure all necessary method statements and risk assessments are appropriate and in place in advance of the works.
  • Assist in delivery of safety and environmental management systems and project compliance with key elements subject to safety, environmental and quality audit.
  • Assist in ensuring site accident frequency rate is below OPCO target.
  • Assist in delivery of project margin and effective cost control measures.
  • Attend/minute all necessary internal and external meetings
