We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to oversee a Commercial project near Reading.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires excellent leadership skills and strong time management abilities.
The role is a fixed-term contract until March 2026.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow.
Develop project schedules and monitor progress against timelines, adjusting plans as necessary.
Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality and adherence to specifications.
Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports and progress updates.
Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively.
Provide leadership and guidance to site personnel, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Ensure that all materials and resources are available as needed to meet project demands.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with diverse teams and stakeholders.
A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field are preferred.
