Starting at 12.65 per hour 17.5 hours per week - term time only
Brynmawr Foundation School is looking for an enthusiastic individual to work alongside our staff and pupils. We currently have 80+ staff and around 575 pupils.
The ideal candidate would be able to independently support the current site team and business manager in the day-to-day running and maintenance of the main school building. This post will be mainly within the school day but there may be the opportunity for additional hours on occasions.

LINE MANAGER: Site Manager
Main duties and responsibilities:
Ensure that the cleaning of certain areas of the site are undertaken and the building is secure.
Daily inspections of toilets for blockages, etc.
Painting of classrooms and corridors.
Pupil supervision at the start and end of school hours to ensure pupils are on the correct transport home.
General maintenance of school, i.e. litter picking of school grounds checking of drains, etc.
Distribution of cleaning products and other orders received
Dealing with contractors, i.e. heating engineers, plumbers, electricians, etc.
Weekly inspections for legionella including flushing of taps and toilets.
Other duties in relation to the maintenance and security of the school site in line with the pay grade.
Key attributes:
Practical/hands-on experience is desirable but not a necessity
Ability to show initiative and to prioritise one's own work and that of others
Ability to work as part of a team and individually
Positive role model for users of the facilities
Self-motivating with the ability to multi task
Friendly with good communication skills
Experience/ Qualifications:
5 GSCEs or equivalent Desirable
GDPR Understanding Essential
Awareness of health and safety issues Essential
First Aid trained Desirable
Knowledge of basic general building maintenance Essential
