Job Description

An temporary opportunity has arisen to work in the Legal Services Team within North Lincolnshire Council for an initial period of 9 months but could be extended (maternity cover).

We are looking for a Solicitor who will have an exciting and varied workload providing litigation and advocacy support to a wide range of Council departments.

The successful candidate:-

Will be a qualified solicitor with the SRA Will have experience of dealing with a wide range of local authority litigation matters. Will be able to work independent and within a team Will possess excellent communication skills. Be able to provide expert legal advice across a range of litigation matters Represent the council in court proceedings, tribunals, and hearings Strong advocacy and negotiation skills Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence Support junior colleagues within legal services Support internal departments with the management of risk and compliance Collaborate with external counsel and stakeholders as needed Be able to manage the litigation case load within legal services
