About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Spa Assistant Manager. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the outstanding Kohler Waters Spa operation on a da-to-day basis.
You will support and assist the Spa Manager in monitoring the Spa Therapists and Spa Receptionists in their team targets and creating a motivational and supporting environment within which our associates may thrive. You will be a role model who exhibits professionalism and outstanding product knowledge.
You will be enthusiastic and proactive in supporting current and new team members in their training and development, alongside the daily running of the department and helping Kohler Waters Spa to achieve targets.
Your responsibilities will include;
Exceed Resident and Guest expectations of Spa treatments and services
Establish and develop a highly motivated, proactive team with the highest ethical standards that delivers a cost effective and quality-oriented service product.
Ensure continuous training is provided to the team and working closely with Spa vendors, organising training according to the staff needs.
Work with the Senior Therapists to ensure high quality standards and maintained. Focus on attention to detail regarding all spa treatments ensuring they are always consistent to our vision and that expected within a five red star property. This will include training, service evaluations, and suggestions for improvement and employee feedback.
Be fully conversant with all Spa services and facilities to be able to make helpful recommendations, and to be able to up-sell Spa services and cross sell spa products
Oversee and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Spa
Provide direct support to the Spa Management Team when required. This may include deputising in their absence, assisting with guest complaint handling, problem solving.
To oversee the booking of treatments and ensure that treatments are sensibly allocated to each therapist and that the staffing rota is always suitable to ensure treatments are carried out smoothly and on time. Being conscious of labour cost and labour control on day-to-day basis.
Work to meet the demands of the business, involving the working of unsociable hours with the flexibility to cover shifts due to staff shortages.
Assist with researching, analysing and making determinations regarding new equipment and amenities to ensure purchases are within budget, safety and service objectives
Conduct monthly physical retail and professional inventory
Assist the Spa Manager with administrative duties.
To be successful in this role you will have the following qualities and experience:
Previous Therapist experience being fully trained and confident in all spa treatments.
Excellent interpersonal skills and feel at ease with people from all walks of life
Commitment to providing a first-class welcome, and ensuring guests leave as satisfied customers
