Role Overview



The

Assistant Store Manager

plays a crucial role in the day-to-day running of the store. Working closely with the Store Manager, they help ensure excellent customer service, food quality, staff coordination, and smooth shift operations. This is a hands-on role suited for someone passionate about food, leadership, and delivering memorable customer experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Excellence



Support the Store Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations across front-of-house and kitchen. Supervise opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and end-of-day reporting. Ensure food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are upheld at all times. Help monitor and manage stock levels, deliveries, and waste reduction.

Team Leadership



Motivate and support a team of crew members and supervisors during busy shifts. Train new staff members and reinforce company standards and best practices. Foster a positive and high-performing work environment. Step into leadership during Store Manager absence.

Customer Experience



Ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and consistent service. Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback professionally. Uphold the Taka Taka brand image and atmosphere at all times.

Performance & Reporting



Monitor store KPIs (sales targets, labour costs, upselling metrics). Assist in scheduling to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours. Contribute ideas for local marketing or promotional activities.

What We're Looking For



Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in hospitality, QSR, or takeaway/fast food. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Passion for great food and outstanding customer service. Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 47 per week
