As the face of The Scotland Kilt Company, you'll serve as a brand ambassador, providing exceptional customer service and expert guidance. Your role will be centered on creating a seamless, enjoyable experience for our customers. You'll be ready to assist with everything from answering questions to offering expert advice on kilt styles and outfit pairings.

With your deep knowledge of all things kilt-related, you'll help customers select the perfect tartan, explain the history behind it, and suggest complementary accessories to complete their look. Whether it's for a formal occasion or a more casual event, you'll ensure they walk away feeling confident and stylish.

Your passion for Scottish tradition will also help drive sales, as you'll suggest additional products and outfits that enhance the customer's overall experience, making them feel fully equipped and ready to showcase their unique style.

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Store Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in leading the team, managing inventory, and maintaining store standards to create a welcoming shopping environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily store operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Supervise and motivate staff to achieve sales targets and provide outstanding customer service. Oversee merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and maximise sales opportunities. Maintain inventory levels through effective stock management and organisation. Conduct regular training sessions for staff to improve product knowledge and customer engagement skills. Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, payroll, and reporting as required. Foster a positive team environment by promoting collaboration and open communication among staff members. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Skills

Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse customers. Proven management experience with a focus on retail or sales environments. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards achieving goals. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong phone etiquette. Proficient in merchandising techniques that drive sales performance. Exceptional time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Organisational skills that facilitate efficient store operations and administrative duties. Previous supervising experience is advantageous for managing team dynamics effectively.
