Job Description

Purpose of the role:



The Assistant Stores Controller will be responsible for assigned roles within the daily operation of the general stores area.

Responsibilities such as track and manage all parts from the moment they are delivered to the stores, putting away or creating locations. Picking of parts, kitting and delivery of such parts to Production. Each vehicle has its own Bill of Materials spreadsheet-based engineered assemblies. You will keep all stock organised and in its final state, ensuring accuracy to reality at all times. All vehicle parts are bespoke premium products that need close attention to detail and a level of care that classic vehicle parts require.

Key Responsibilities:



? Take ownership of parts deliveries as they arrive.

? Booking in and out parts via the stock tracker sheet. This will also include removal of obsolete parts that have been superseded by newer revision parts.

? Picking, kitting and issuing of assemblies/parts to lineside when they are required by Production.

? Liaising with Procurement to help to make sure processes are adhered to. Communicate with departments to see that the stock kept meets Production requirements.

? Maintain high standards so that Stores is kept as clean, organised and efficient as possible.

? Engage with HSE standards.

? Regular audits

Requirements:



Essential

? Previous experience in automotive environments whether at a factor, OEM or other parts suppliers or manufacturer.

? A good understanding of road car components and their application.

? Proficiency in computer applications - particularly spreadsheets both Excel and Google Sheets.

? Demonstrable ability to pay close attention to detail.

Desirable

? Parts department experience, particularly within stores or aftersales - would be highly desirable.

? Ability to read and correct formulas within MS Excel & Google Sheets.

? Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings

? Ability to read and understand vehicle parts manuals to identify parts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 28,000.00-35,000.00 per year
