Location: Ealing/Hybrid - with regular travel to sites

Salary: 38,960 to 41,010

Contract: Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

As an

Assistant Surveyor

within our Investment Team, you'll support the delivery of planned and cyclical investment programmes, working alongside experienced Contract Surveyors and Contracts Managers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to residents' satisfaction.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle, from pre-investment surveys through to contract delivery and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out pre-investment surveys to confirm scopes of work in line with Asset Planning requirements and investment budgets Support Contract Surveyors in preparing schedules of work, specifications, and tender documentation using survey data and electronically gathered information Assist with the tender process, including contractor evaluation and selection Support project delivery activities, including contractor appointments, pre-start meetings, programmes, and cash flow reviews Assist with contract administration duties, ensuring contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle Monitor and help report on cost, programme, quality, and health & safety performance Attend, arrange, and minute progress meetings, supporting clear communication and issue resolution Liaise with residents, leaseholders, and internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure works meet quality and customer expectation Support performance monitoring and continuous improvement through KPI tracking and contractor reviews Assist with tenant and stakeholder consultations to help ensure projects reflect resident needs where practical and in line with policy

More About You

Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English and hold an HNC or HND in Construction and the Built Environment

Experience working with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders and are confident communicating clearly and professionally Familiarity and confidence with IT systems, including Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to produce clear letters and reports, would be beneficial Background in building or construction management, capable of handling a variety of situations competently, is desirable A-Level standard in Maths or English (or equivalent Level 3 qualification), or progress towards a relevant professional qualification in surveying or construction, would be an advantage An understanding of building pathology is advantageous Holds a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle to support site visits
