We have an opportunity for someone to join our team in an exciting role as Production Assistant Team Leader. This is a hands on role, working alongside our Production Operatives but supporting with the smooth running of the production line and stepping up in the absence of the Team Leader.
As such, the role requires someone with Production Operative experience, experience with manual handling, health & safety awareness and due to the demands of the role, this is a physically demanding role and therefore you must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time.
You will be working a four day week and no weekends! The hours per week are 39 hours Monday to Thursday with the exception of weeks containing Bank Holidays in which, you would on those weeks work Tuesday to Friday.
25 days plus Bank Holidays pro rata to reflect 4 day working pattern, namely 26.5 days per annum.
You would be working closely with our Team Leaders, Coordinators and Operations Manager to ensure our sites maintain regulatory compliance and food safety.
This is a leadership role where you will be required to prioritise both reactive and proactive tasks for yourself and the Production Team you are supporting.
You will have a positive attitude and be willing to learn, this is very important as you will be working within a friendly, passionate and dedicated team to ensure the smooth running of the factory.
Oversee and support the entire process of our works orders.
Ensure all Pallets are labelled with tractability maintained at all times.
Support in the absence of Team Leaders.
Ensure all staff are adhering to site health and safety rules, and report any concerns or issues to management team.
Ensuring that the operation is organised and clean before the end of the shift.
Support shutting down all equipment at the end of the shift correctly.
To be trained on use of equipment / machinery / processes.
Ideally you will come from a manufacturing background ideally the food industry
Must be fluent in English with excellent communication skills
Enthusiastic and a keen ability to learn
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to lead a team
