Assistant to the Head of HR & Operations

to play a key role in supporting both HR and business operations across the firm. This is a varied and fast-paced position where you will have genuine responsibility and the opportunity to shape and improve processes.

What you'll be doing



Working closely with the Head of HR & Operations, you will:

Lead recruitment administration and candidate journeys

Coordinate and conduct first-stage interviews

Manage onboarding, inductions, probation reviews and performance admin

Maintain HR records and systems (including GDPR compliance)

Provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees

Assist with employee relations cases and policy queries

Support firm-wide training and engagement initiatives

Oversee office Health & Safety compliance and risk records

Assist with data protection logging and compliance tracking

Produce internal communications and support events

Take ownership of HR and operational improvement projects

About you



We're looking for someone who is:

Experienced - at least

3 years in an HR support or administration role



Confident supporting recruitment and HR documentation

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

An excellent communicator with a professional, approachable style

Comfortable giving first-line HR guidance using policies and procedures

Tech-savvy - confident using HR systems (we use Breathe HR) and MS Office

Motivated, dependable and able to work with discretion and integrity

Desirable but not essential:



CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 (or studying) HR experience in a professional services environment Knowledge of employment law basics and HR best practice Experience supporting ER cases (note-taking, investigations, etc.)
