The Role

The Assistant Trade Supervisor post will form part of C~urb's Trades Team. The post holder will assist the Reactive Maintenance Trade Supervisor to deliver Link's Reactive Maintenance program, mainly reactive and void repairs, throughout Link's housing stock.



The post will also involve monitoring the progress of the installation works; from pre-inspection through to final sign-off. The post holder will also be responsible for the line management of a small group of trade operatives.


About You





You will bring a strong knowledge of the building maintenance industry, with relevant experience in inspecting domestic properties and identifying practical solutions to maintenance issues. You hold an HNC in Building, Technical, or Construction-related subjects, or a recognised trade qualification, and are confident in preparing and interpreting specifications and schedules of work, including using a prepaid schedule of rates.



You are highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage your workload effectively to meet deadlines and performance targets. Your approach is proactive and collaborative, supporting colleagues and contributing positively to team objectives.



You have sound knowledge of current building legislation and statutory requirements and demonstrate a strong understanding of policy and procedures in your day-to-day work. You are comfortable making informed decisions, processing information accurately, and delivering services with a customer-focused mindset.



With excellent keyboard skills, you are proficient in using a range of IT systems to input and manage data efficiently, and you're adaptable to new technologies and processes, helping others to do the same. A full driving licence and access to a car are essential for this role.
