Job Summary

John Dickinson Transport specialises in heavy haulage. An in house team of qualified technicians maintain our fleet of HGVs and trailers.

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Transport Manager to support us oversee and enhance our logistics operations.

Duties

To support the statutory duties of the Transport Manager to ensure compliance with the undertakings of our Operator's Licence, especially in the following areas:

vehicle maintenance tachograph and driver hours compliance record keeping and audit STGO notifications

Qualifications

Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (this is an essential role requirement) If necessary to maintain accreditation, a recent refresher course Proven experience in transport and logistics (desirable) Working knowledge of operator licensing undertakings and Traffic Commissioner expectations (essential) Familiarity with STGO regulations, and abnormal load notification procedures (desirable) Proficient using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook (essential) and familiar with IT compliance systems
The minimum time requirement for the role is 20 hours per week. Applications from suitably qualified part-time or full-time candidates will be considered.

The hourly rate is negotiable for an exceptional candidate.
