We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant Warehouse Manager to support our warehouse operations by managing inventory, coordinating team members and deliveries, and ensuring accurate documentation for incoming and outgoing furniture products. The role is critical in maintaining stock accuracy, supporting logistics, and ensuring timely order fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Warehouse Manager in all aspects of warehousing and logistics.
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Capture and update goods received notes (GRNs), delivery notes, and despatch documentation.
Plan and coordinate delivery schedules.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
Prepare picking lists and delivery paperwork for internal requirements and customer orders.
Assist with stock counts and audits.
Track returned, damaged, or repaired furniture items.
Ensure warehouse documentation complies with company policies and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
Previous experience of warehousing and logistics.
Strong administrative skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory or ERP systems
Good communication skills.
Ability to manage and coordinate warehouse staff.
High attention to detail and ability to manage large item inventory.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with furniture, homeware, or bulky goods.
Knowledge of delivery routing and load planning.
Ability to handle internal and customer delivery queries.
Working Conditions
Office-based role within a furniture warehouse or distribution centre
Exposure to a warehouse environment and physical movement of stock items.
