Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead, motivate, and oversee our warehouse team, ensuring smooth daily operations and a strong focus on performance, customer service, and compliance. You'll play a key role in supporting the Distribution Manager to deliver operational goals, maintain high standards, and foster a positive team environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Warehouse team, in a hands-on manner, in particular with regards to day-to day storage and distribution activities. Ensuring that the daily pick operation is completed to meet despatch deadlines. Follow operating procedures which are compliant with UK legislation, clear and easily understood. Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment in line with food safety and health & safety standards Deputise for the Distribution Manager in their absence whilst maintaining a high level of diplomacy and efficiency. Support the onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members to ensure strong performance and team engagement.

Requirements

Experience/background in wholesale or retail warehouse and logistics operations Proven ability of working and communicating at supervisory level. Strong leadership skills managing a number of direct reports and accountabilities. Ability to inspire and motivate the team. Some knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Forklift operation certificate. Proven experience of supervising staff. Excellent English communication skills (both written & verbal) Flexibility around working hours
