We're looking for an Assistant Yard Foreman to join our Northampton Depot -- someone with a strong work ethic, a great attitude, and a passion for keeping things running smoothly.

About the Role

As our Assistant Yard Foreman, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of our busy yard and warehouse. Working alongside the Yard & Warehouse Manager and Depot Manager, you'll help ensure our operations are efficient, safe, and well organised.
You'll be involved in everything from stock management and vehicle loading to supporting and motivating the yard team -- stepping up to lead when the Yard & Warehouse Manager is away.

This is a hands-on role with real responsibility, offering an exciting opportunity to grow your leadership skills and progress within a respected, expanding company.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting the Yard & Warehouse Manager with daily operations. Supervising the team and maintaining a safe, efficient working environment. Helping coordinate stock rotation, loading, and deliveries. Assisting with training and mentoring new yard staff. Taking the lead in the Manager's absence to ensure everything runs smoothly. Maintaining high standards of health & safety and housekeeping across the site.

What We're Looking For

Experience in yard or warehouse operations (leadership or supervisory experience a plus). Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. A team player who can also take initiative when needed. Knowledge of health & safety best practice. Great communication and people skills. Forklift licence (preferred, but not essential -- training can be provided).
