Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and supportive

Assistant Youth Football Coach

to help deliver weekly football sessions for children aged 1.5 to 5 years old. You'll work closely with the Lead Coach to ensure sessions are fun, safe, and well-organised, while creating a positive experience for both children and parents.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Lead Coach in running weekly football sessions. Assist with setting up and packing away equipment. Help guide and encourage children throughout activities. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants. Engage positively with children, parents/guardians, and Strike Academy staff. Be punctual, reliable, and committed to weekly Saturday morning sessions.
Requirements

Experience working with or caring for young children (sports, childcare, or similar is a plus). Energetic, approachable, and good with young children. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to weekly Saturday mornings. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain). First Aid qualification (preferred but not essential). Coaching qualifications (not essential -- training can be provided).
