We are currently recruiting for a UK-based Assistant/Graduate Quantity Surveyor to work with our experienced commercial team at our North-East office.

Due to planned growth for the foreseeable future, we have an opportunity for an Assistant/Graduate to join us.

This is a fantastic opportunity with excellent career prospects.

The role would suit someone with experience of a QS/commercial role.

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant/Graduate Quantity Surveyor:

Handling, controlling, and billing of work record sheets. Preparing billing for a variation of work elements. Responding to client queries. Preparing applications for payment and submission to the client. Identifying pricing and agreeing change. Measurement calculations from both drawings and on site as required Site visits and client liaison Sub-contract appraisals. Cost reporting. Preparing detailed final accounts.
General Administration and any other ad hoc duties as required

Essential Skills

The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, working towards a Quantity Surveyor qualification. Highly organised and motivated. Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deal professionally with people at all levels. Ability to prioritise workload to ensure delivery is achieved within set timescales. Computer literate, with the ability to learn new software packages quickly. Plenty of initiative and an innovative approach to problem-solving.
