Quantity Surveyor – Carpentry & Joinery Specialist
Job Description
We're working exclusively with a respected specialist joinery subcontractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a carpentry and joinery background. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving business delivering high-end joinery packages on projects ranging from 250k to 2m.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately cost and manage variations across bespoke joinery and carpentry projects
Carry out site measurements, valuations, and final accounts
Procure materials and subcontractors in line with cost and programme requirements
Collaborate closely with clients, site teams, and internal departments
Monitor progress and report on costs, variations, and risk
Manage multiple live projects (up to 5 at a time)
Support with estimating and tendering when workload allows
REQUIREMENTS
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within carpentry, joinery, or specialist fit-out
Hands-on background in carpentry/joinery (essential)
Strong knowledge of joinery manufacturing and installation processes
Confident communicator and commercially astute
Proficient with MS Office and estimating software
