About Bigbury Golf Club:
Located on Devon's south coast, Bigbury Golf Club is a traditional cliff top
course with stunning views across the south Devon coast. We are a
progressive club, with a strong membership and a very friendly welcoming
atmosphere. There is a grass long game and short game area and we are in
the stages of adding a Trackman Swing studio to our set up. With a busy
year-round schedule of members' competitions, visitor play and coaching
programmes, this is an excellent opportunity for a PGA Assistant Professional
or Trainee to gain hands-on experience in retail, golf operations, custom fit
and the chance to develop their own coaching skills and network.
Purpose of the Role:
To support the Professional and Management team in delivering a 5golf
experience for members and guests. To play an integral part of the custom fit
using the latest Trackman technology in the new swing studio and to develop
a junior academy. The role will involve a balance of retail operations, member
engagement, developing coaching groups and custom fitting services.
Retail:
Support our busy Pro Shop operation
Deliver outstanding customer service to members and visitors
Advise on and sell industry-leading products and equipment
Assist with stock management, merchandising and day-to-day shop
procedures
Coaching & Development:
Deliver individual and group coaching sessions for members, juniors and visitors
Use modern technology like Trackman for lessons and custom fittings
Coach on our short game area, practice ground, and 18-hole course.
Develop and help grow a junior coaching programme
Build a client base in a supportive, forward-thinking environment
Club Operations:
Tee booking and tee management
Assist with competitions
Key Deliverables and Responsibilities:
Provide 5 customer service in the Pro Shop Learn to conduct a custom fit session with the latest technology
Assist in daily retail operations including stock management, merchandising, members competitions
Assist in golf operations including tee bookings and members competitions
Support the Professional team with tuition, group and junior programmes
Contribute to the planning and delivery of coaching sessions, club competitions and member activities
Act as an ambassador for Bigbury Golf Club, actively promoting the club and its services

Professional Requirements & Experience:
Registered PGA Assistant Professional (or aspiring PGA Trainee)
Flexibility to work weekends, early mornings and evenings as required
