The Associate Director - Environmental Compliance is the lead role for Vantive's environmental compliance strategy and execution. In addition to providing strategic leadership for developing and deploying environmental compliance policies, management system elements, and other related programmatic activities, this position is also responsible for leading all aspects of key environmental technical projects across Vantive while effectively managing both internal and external resources.



This role provides leadership for proactively advancing global, multi-media Environmental Programs while actively promoting enterprise-wide EHS risk mitigation. The individual in this position builds collaborative partnerships and involves stakeholders, influences key business decisions, and functional and operational strategies to ensure that the company is positioned for success on completing its external environmental commitments.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Determine operational and business impacts and develop/ implement strategies to handle applicable/ relevant requirements. Partner with internal collaborators and actively support the development and execution of

EHS&S standards, programs and processes to drive functional vision, mission, policies and


strategies.
Development and deployment of enhanced environmental programmatic strategies that will

provide assurance that operations achieve compliance with applicable regulations, Vantive's EHS management system requirements and ISO 14001 certification.
Tracking and reporting of environmental compliance metrics to closure. Leadership responsibility to actively engage with businesses/sites to advance multi-media

environmental projects providing solutions.
Effectively support segments and sites in meeting ESG targets and regulatory requirements. Effectively collaborate across the business actively seeking feedback and input to improve

environmental programs, policies and management systems.
Liaise legal counsel, external vendors, regulatory agencies as necessary to assure site

level compliance and implement robust risk mitigation strategies to support business


operations.
Proactively identify EHS&S management and potential compliance gaps, develop

corrective measures and implement solutions; leverage lessons learned and develop


continuous improvement in EHS&S programs.
Collect/measure and use enterprise EHS&S data to support risk-based project/program

design, planning and execution; evaluate trends for continuous improvement or corrective


measures.
Track and assess the impact of EHSS laws, regulations and trends and assure that global plans are developed and executed to assure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. Develop and implement tactical plans and initiatives to support key business objectives Develop and maintain training materials to support efficient use of EHSS management systems and performance. Lead and/or participate in EHSS Corporate audits to ensure compliance and maintain ISO 14001 certification requirements, driving continuous improvement and governance excellence. Cultivate an environment where others value and support a strong EHSS culture

Required Skills



Experience prioritizing and handling multiple & technically sophisticated assignments

concurrently.
Experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and diverse

environment.
Experience developing and implementing goals and strategies based on broader

organization goals.
Validated ability to deliver results through the management of others. Proven record of interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to interface and lead

effectively in a team environment.
Ability to analyze and interpret scientific and statistical data. Ability to respond to detailed inquiries and present information to groups and senior

leaders.
Possess a solid understanding of related subject areas/other functions including

manufacturing and operations processes
Continuous improvement focus and proven track record of success. Experience working within country specific environmental regulations on a global scale is required. Ability to travel up to 30%
