We are newly recruiting for an Associate to join our Banking & Finance team in Scotland on a full-time, flexible working basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior banking lawyer to develop their career, as part of our fast growing banking team in Scotland.

Your Role

As a key addition to our growing team, day to day you can expect to be involved with:


Market leading corporate and asset based lending transactions in Scotland and across the UK Leveraged finance transactions for both lenders and private equity clients Managing your own transactions for a variety of clients Providing an excellent service to our clients by working closely with colleagues from across the UK in both the Banking team and other specialisms Participating in business development initiatives and activities which, build and help to strengthen relationships with our clients

Your Skills & Experience

We are looking for:


A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) between 1-3 year's PQE with a legal background in banking/finance A forward thinker, with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines Commercial awareness with enthusiasm for business development and an appetite for keeping up to date with the latest developments in your practice area and sector focus An ability to understand client's business needs, acting in the best interest of the firm and the client An ambitious and enthusiastic team player, able to support senior fee earners and contribute to our collaborative culture

Operating from offices across the UK, our expanding and ambitious partner-led team provide tactical, commercially minded services across all aspects of financing. We act for a broad range of debt funders and have positions on the general lending panels of nearly all the high street lenders. In addition, we act for a wide spectrum of corporate borrowers in all of our key sectors in the investment and non-investment grade spaces.
