We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Business Development Writer to join our Health in Justice team. The role is hybrid with the majority of time working from home. You would be expected to visit our Head Office in Theale, Reading approximately once a month and travel to visit prison sites across England around 3 times a year.


Salary





This position is full time, 37.5 hours per week with a salary of up to 33,000 depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.




What you'll be doing




As our Associate Business Development Writer you will:
Work according to the Bid Standard Operating Procedures Proactively develop and manage a network of subject matter experts Read and understand all bid documentation provided by commissioners, including detailed service specifications and Health Needs Assessment reports Write tailored responses to bid questions, answering all points within the strict word and character limits set
Deliver completed written proposal responses to the bid manager against agreed deadlines. Reach out to reviewers from our senior clinical and operational teams, receiving feedback on written responses and updating them in response Re-write/edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders Research the healthcare market at national and local health economy level, in addition to obtaining and sharing key findings from inspection reports, particularly those relating to current business Assemble a library of previous responses and bid material to support completion of tender responses

Qualifications, Skills & Experience required


A good standard of education--this could be A-levels, vocational qualifications, or equivalent experience. A university degree is not required Some experience producing written content. This could be reports, articles, blog posts, social media content, or anything similar. Experience working with others--especially in team settings or across different professions Basic computer skills, including using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Excellent communication skills, both in writing and speaking Confidence is speaking persuasively to a diverse range of audiences High levels of attention to detail--including grammar, spelling, and formatting Ability to work to deadlines and within a complex environment
