Job Description


Financial Crime and Compliance (FC&C) department is responsible for ensuring that all financial crime and compliance risks within the Bank are identified, managed or mitigated. It establishes and maintains the Bank's regulatory communications, compliance risk management, regulatory reporting and compliance advisory. As an Associate - Compliance, you will provide day-to-day support to the Regulatory Compliance Team by carrying out surveillance, conflict clearance, wall crossing, personal account dealing and insider lists. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities

  • Process Control Room requests and reply to senders in a timely manner, including personal account dealing, wall crossing, insider lists and conflict clearance
  • Record, analyse and manage any errors and issues arising from the operation of Control Room
  • Maintain and update the procedures for Control Room processes
  • Assist with communication surveillance and trade surveillance
  • Support the compliance function in carrying out other day-to-day responsibilities such as organising forums and writing reports
  • Report and escalate compliance risks in accordance with internal governance requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager such as conducting risk assessment
Requirements
  • Degree level educated in Law, Banking, Finance or other equivalent
  • Relevant experience with in the Financial Services sector
  • Excellent MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and presentation skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and a methodical and structured approach to work
  • Able to adapt quickly to new environments and changes in priorities
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Able to work collaboratively in team setting and to deliver independently when required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate and build relationship with key stakeholders
