Overview:



The

Associate, Debt Team,

will join the

D.F. King Team,

who are routinely ranked as the number one agent for Liability Management (LM) deals. You'll be based from our stunning central office in London or our city centre office in Leeds on a hybrid basis, so you'll need to be within a commutable distance of one of these locations to enable you to be in the office with colleagues each week.


You'll support a team who work with

investment banks, law firms and restructuring advisors

to support the execution and delivery of bondholder identification assignments and complex bond transactions, with an emphasis on liability management and debt restructurings, working for international corporate and sovereign debt issuers.

What you need:



As with any role, we want to find the right person and we want to make sure you know it's the right role for you too. You will need:


Excellent attention to detail, with strong demonstrable working knowledge and understanding of Excel Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, you'll possess clear, confident and strong communication skills with the drive to undertake outbound calling Experience of working within Financial Markets Self-motivation, proactiveness and a can-do attitude, in addition to flexibility around your working day at times The confidence to work with a variety of global stakeholders - colleagues, clients, intermediaries and investors Diligence, conscientiousness and a willingness to work as part of a small team Excellent organisational skills with the ability to re-prioritise and ensure project deadlines are met

It would be nice to have:



Knowledge and understanding of Debt Capital Markets would be advantageous Previous experience in debt restructuring and investor communications would be beneficial An understanding of corporate actions and processes of European clearing systems is desirable Additional languages are not required, but would be advantageous

Day to Day, you will:



Support the Debt Issuer Services Team to execute bondholder identification projects, agency roles on Liability Management and debt restructuring transactions, working with bond issuers, investment bankers and lawyers Help develop and maintain strategic relationships with a variety of stakeholders Support the Senior Associates with day-to-day duties and tasks, in addition to attending client/advisor project meetings when appropriate Respond to investor queries relation to corporate actions in debt capital markets (DCM), via email and the telephone, accessing offer documents, participation deadlines, options etc Review and draft communication materials and where appropriate, implement new initiatives Ensure relevant spreadsheets are updated with the latest status of investor queries Assist in the updating of the database holding key contacts based on Working Group Lists of recent transactions and recent proposals Ensure compliance with any regulatory or statutory requirements, industry codes and practices Provide input to and update on marketing materials, in addition to actioning various administration tasks as and when required The above list of key accountabilities is not an exhaustive list and may change from time-to-time based on business needs.
