About the Role



We're looking to partner with a talented and self-motivated

Associate Dentist

on a

self-employed basis

, with a clinical emphasis on both

fixed and removable orthodontic treatments

as well as

restorative dentistry

.

You'll begin with one day per week (Tuesdays or Fridays), with the flexibility to expand to up to four days depending on your availability and patient demand. This is a long-term opportunity to contribute to a growing, fully private clinic supported by a

Treatment Coordinator (TCO)

and a

multidisciplinary clinical team

committed to delivering seamless, high-quality patient care.

About You



We're seeking an Associate who is:

Fully GDC registered with a

Diploma in Orthodontics

or equivalent postgraduate qualification Experienced in providing

fixed

braces

(e.g. traditional, ceramic) and

clear aligners

(e.g. Invisalign etc) with confidence and competence Able to present a strong

before-and-after portfolio

showcasing orthodontic and restorative casework Commercially astute with a

track record of delivering profitable treatment plans

A collaborative team player who embraces a

patient-first culture

A confident communicator with a desire to build lasting patient relationships Passionate about learning and professional development

Key Responsibilities



Provide a full range of private dental treatments, with emphasis on orthodontics and aesthetic/restorative dentistry Carry out comprehensive treatment planning, clinical care, photography, record-keeping, and consent, in line with GDC, CQC, and practice guidelines Take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of your patients Collaborate with TCOs and the wider team to ensure a 5-star patient experience Participate in clinical meetings, training sessions, and case discussions Collect patient testimonials and case documentation for marketing (with appropriate consent)

Remuneration & Flexibility



Self-employed contract for services

Full clinical autonomy, including diary control and the right to appoint a locum or substitute - not sure about this, although it's legally right, not sure this sits properly in actual practice. Competitive percentage-based remuneration, invoiced monthly Estimated earnings of

60,000-80,000+ per annum

, based on one day per working week, this is subject to variation due to caseload, and case acceptance Business and marketing support to help you build a rewarding schedule

Qualifications and Skills



Essential:



BDS or equivalent Registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) Postgraduate qualification in orthodontics Strong knowledge of dental care pathways and ability to refer internally as needed Ability to maintain accurate, confidential clinical records and obtain valid consent Teamworking mindset and ability to contribute to a cohesive clinical environment

Desirable:



Further postgraduate qualifications in restorative/aesthetic dentistry Experience in managing internal/external referrals and correspondence

Experience



Essential:



Significant experience in orthodontic assessment, treatment planning, and clinical delivery Proven ability to take full responsibility for patient care Strong foundation in providing routine private restorative care

Desirable:



Experience handling referral correspondence and interdisciplinary care pathways
